Red Bull Racing have announced the renewal of their partnership with Pepe Jeans London. Pepe Jeans became a Team Partner in 2010, with their branding prominent on our cars during four double World Championship winning seasons and will continue their long running relationship with the Team as Official Jeans Supplier.
Established in 1973, the denim and casualwear designer has grown out of humble beginnings in the famous Portobello Road area of London’s Notting Hill district to become an international fashion brand, headquartered in Barcelona, with a global network of over 200 stores.
“We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with Pepe Jeans,” said Team Principal Christian Horner. “Pepe joined us at the start of a remarkable period for our team and it’s gratifying that our association will continue into an exciting future. Pepe Jeans are a great fit for Red Bull Racing: the two brands share values and a youthful attitude that complement one another perfectly.”
Echoing Christian’s comments, Carlos Ortega from Pepe Jeans added “The Red Bull Racing team has been a great fit for us as both brands share the same dynamic, youthful and confident spirit. We are very happy to be extending what has already been an extremely successful partnership since 2010”.

Formula One: “Sochi is not the Russia I pictured”

Screen Shot 2016-04-22 at 13.47.10

Red Bull Racing drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat preview the Russian Grand Prix:

Daniel Ricciardo:

“Sochi is not the Russia I pictured before I first went there. All of a sudden I saw a beautiful blue beach, which made me feel as if I was in a resort and they also have a very modern facility with the Olympic Park.
“I think the track hasn’t suited us in the last two years, but we’ve had some strong races so far this year on circuits we didn’t think suited us either so let’s see what happens. In the past it’s been quite a low grip. It got a bit better last year but it’s still quite slippery and because there is not that much tyre wear we haven’t done many pit stops in the past.
“There is not much camber change which you get on a lot of tracks. Also the corners are very flat and because of that quite unique. I’m looking forward to going back.
“The hotel we’re staying in has a very nice restaurant called Fellini. But because we spend so much time at the track we don’t really get the chance to see much. I’m going to try this year and speak to Dany to get some local advice. I think Dany will get a very busy week ahead but I don’t think it compares to Australia because it is the first race of the season, so you get more media anyway. I know how he feels though: it’s a week of survival.”
Daniil Kvyat:
“I’m very excited to get back to Russia for the Grand Prix. It’s an important race for me and it’s nice to see my family and friends and all the fans who come to support me and the team in Sochi. I can’t wait!
“It’s a very modern track with a few corners that look quite similar but they are never as easy as they might look, because you have to try and drive the car on the limit each time you turn. I think Turn 4 is the nicest corner, and it’s also the grandstand named after me. I see my face on that corner often during the race, and that support is really nice. Any time I want to say something cool I say: I have a grandstand named after me!
“It will be a hectic week and thinking about Daniel’s busy week in Australia it’s a bit of a payback for me in a way but you already got into quite a good rhythm after the first few races so you’re used to it in a way. In the end it’s my home race and that gives me an extra boost as well. It’s very nice to have a home race. It’s very special for every driver so I think I’m very lucky to have one.
“When back in Sochi I like to go and visit a Sauna. It’s a very classic thing to do in Sochi and it’s quite nice to go with a couple of good friends and have a relaxed evening. I did play some ice hockey last year as well and they have an Olympic Village there so there is a lot of sports to do. During race week I also enjoy to take a walk along the nearby seaside.”

Formula One: Ricciardo’s new look…?

Those of you not on social media may have missed Daniel Ricciardo’s recent perhaps unplanned new look.

After being accused of growing a mullet by Ted Kravitz in the build up to the Bahrain Grand Prix it would appear fellow Sky Sports F1 presenter Natalie Pinkham may have taken matters into her own hands, or those of her husband.

Daniel Ricciardo yesterday posted images of his ‘new look’ in progress through his Instagram profile, following it up with a film of Natalie Pinkham’s reaction.

We made some late night calls & got Vince over to finish the mess that is seen on the left 😬

It should make for some pretty wild ideas and I guess I’ll be the one behind the wheel trying to make them happen!”

Fellow Red Bull Racing driver Daniil Kvyat added: “I’ve always been a fan of GoPro, some of the stuff produced with their cameras is pretty amazing so to have them as our official partner is very exciting and opens up a lot of possibilities.”
Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner said: “Red Bull has always been known for testing the limits of what is possible in sport and in telling those incredible stories, especially in F1. Red Bull Racing have confirmed a multi year technical partnership with Aston Martin. To celebrate the partnership between Aston Martin, Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, the RB12s will carry the iconic Aston Martin wings logo throughout the 2016 season, making their debut at this weekend’s Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park in Melbourne. Branding can be seen on the sidepod (pictured) nosecone and on the arms of drivers overalls.

British luxury brand Aston Martin and Formula One team Red Bull Racing are today announcing a partnership which sees Red Bull Racing’s Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey and Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman collaborate to produce a ground-breaking Aston Martin hypercar.

Codenamed Project ‘AM-RB 001’, the new hypercar will represent the ultimate blend of cutting edge F1TM technology with Aston Martin’s signature sports car design. The combined talents of Newey, widely noted as the most successful Formula One designer of all time, and Reichman, Aston Martin’s design chief since 2005, are set to produce the ultimate hypercar.

Combining the strongest elements of Red Bull Racing, Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Aston Martin, this new Innovation Partnership unites the world’s best aerodynamicists, composite experts and manufacturing masters. All the parties offer different elite capabilities and the combination of all of those skills, ensuring that Project ‘AM-RB 001’ promises to be an exciting prospect for customers and enthusiasts around the world

Aston Martin CEO Dr Andy Palmer said: “Formula One offers the ultimate global stage to build wider awareness of the Aston Martin brand. However, this partnership will deliver even more than that when the hypercar that Aston Martin and Adrian Newey are in the process of developing hits the road.

“Between Q by Aston Martin Advanced, Red Bull Advanced Technologies and project partner AF Racing AG, we are going to create a car that will excite and stir the imaginations of the car designers of the future and a global audience of sports car “These are exciting times for Aston Martin and arriving hot on the heels of our DB11 launch earlier this month, this new partnership underlines that our brand really is racing again.

Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner said of the new partnership: “This is a very exciting project for everyone at Red Bull Racing. Through this Innovation Partnership the iconic Aston Martin logo will return to grand prix racing for the first time since 1960, and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, led by Adrian, will be harnessing our Formula One DNA to produce the ultimate of all road cars. It’s an incredible project which also realises a dream and vision long held by Adrian to design a road car. We are very much looking forward to what I’m certain will be a successful partnership.”

Having an illustrious Formula One career spanning nearly 30 years, and as the designer of ten World Championship winning Formula One cars, the partnership represents a new challenge for Red Bull Racing’s Adrian Newey.

“From the age of six I have had two goals in life – to be involved in the design of racing cars, and to be involved in the design of a super car.” Newey commented. “Whilst the former ambition went on to form my career to date, the latter has always bubbled away, resulting in countless sketches and doodles over the years.

“The opportunity to now develop and realise those ideas whilst working with Marek and his colleagues from Aston Martin is tremendously exciting.  It allows us to translate the technology we have developed in F1 into a new arena.”

Formula One: Ricciardo supports Wings for Life World Run

WorldRun
Earlier today in Melbourne, Daniel Ricciardo ran over Seafarers Bridge, South Wharf in front of the Australian and International media to promote this year’s Wings for Life World Run, which takes place on 8 May 2016.
Daniel, who opens his 2016 Formula One campaign in Melbourne this weekend, stood alongside the Red Bull Racing F1 car and the Wings for Life World Run catcher car before answering questions from the assembled media ahead of the Australian Grand Prix this weekend.
Speaking about the World Run Daniel said: “The World Run has been a really good success the first few years, there were over 100,000 participants last year. It’s a round the world run, where everyone starts running at the same time and tries to keep ahead of the catcher car. This year in Australia it’s taking place in Hawthorn East. As it’s in the middle of the European season I’ll be taking part in Cambridge in the UK. It’s all for a great cause – to help find a cure for spinal cord injury.”

And on the Australian GP he added: “There’s a lot of excitement, since early January it’s just been training and focusing on getting the season started so it’s just round the corner now which is good! The winter has gone as well as we could ask for, it’s only been about four months since Abu Dhabi but I think with the time we’ve had we’ve done a pretty good job. If I could choose to be on any podium, sure it would be this one here in Melbourne but let’s see how we go, but I feel prepared and I’m definitely ready. If any opportunities arise then we’ll take them and maximise them and not leave anything left standing on the track on Sunday.

Formula One: Red Bull Racing strengthens AT&T connection

Screen Shot 2016-02-22 at 07.57.48

Red Bull Racing is very pleased to announce the extension and expansion of its relationship with innovation partner AT&T, the global integrated communications and entertainment company. Within the new multi-year agreement, AT&T will continue to provide Red Bull Racing with global network and connectivity services. The new AT&T logo will be prominently displayed on the rear wing of the RB12 and on the drivers’ racing overalls.
“Our relationship with Red Bull Racing as innovation partner demonstrates the diverse services we provide,” says Frank Jules, President, Global Business at AT&T.  “Innovation is the key in delivering greater speed for the car and in our communications. We’re both inspiring each other as we help take our organisations to another level.”
Over the last few seasons, AT&T’s technology and experience has been integrated into many areas of Red Bull Racing’s operations, most notably the advanced network services that provide the high-speed, high-bandwidth link connecting our cars and our trackside engineers with the Ops Room at our headquarters in Milton Keynes. Throughout winter testing and during the 21 grands prix in 2016, AT&T technology ensures the Team, wherever the individuals are located, can make decisions based on the latest near real-time information.
“Our innovation partnership with AT&T provides an integral part of our race weekend set-up,” says Team Principal, Christian Horner, “Being able to connect to the factory from wherever we’re racing has become essential to our operation. We’re delighted to take our long-standing relationship with AT&T forward in a multi-year agreement and look forward to growing our innovation partnership together.”
In 2016 Formula One will engage in its longest, most geographically challenging season ever. Connectivity provided by AT&T helps the Team’s engineers and critical partners collaborate effectively, regardless of their geographical location. Over the course of a race weekend, AT&T’s network transmits up to 400GB of data from the racetrack to the factory, from the hundreds of channels taking real-time telemetry off the RB12 to the video links that allow engineers to have a face-to-face discussion while separated by half the globe. This enables crucial data-driven decisions to be made swiftly and with confidence – a prerequisite for success in the modern era of Formula One racing.
